1. OVERVIEW

A laparoscopic cholecystectomy is surgery to remove your gallbladder. It is done the patient is suffering from excessive pain in the abdomen due to which one can feel bloated, fever, jaundice, nauseas. The most common risk involved is Gallstones are crystals that form in the gallbladder. They can block the flow of bile out of the gallbladder into your digestive system. IV. SYMPTOMS
Pain in the right upper quadrant, vomiting, nausea, jaundice, dark coloured urine, pale coloured stools
V. TEST PERFORMED
Routine blood investigations, ultrasound abdomen, MRCP
VI. DIAGNOSIS
Gall bladder stoned with CBD stones
VII. TREATMENT
ERCP followed by laparoscopic cholecystectomy
VIII. DESCRIPTION OF THE TREATMENT
The patient presented with obstructive jaundice and wad diagnosed with gall stoned with CBD stones. She was admitted and an ERCP was performed followed by a laparoscopic cholecystectomy 24 hours later.
IX. POST TREATMENT GUIDELINES
Avoid lifting heavy weights for 3 months. Avoid a fat rich diet for 3 weeks.
